Survival Mode

The past 6 weeks have felt like a blur to me! Lots has happened since I left my first job, the job I took right after my internship 4 short years ago! In fact I worked there 4 years exactly, my last day was actually my workiversary!
Four days later on February 7 I started my new position at Texas Children's Hospital. Since then it's felt like a whirlwind of activity! I was busy every weekend for the first 4 weeks, so when I wasn't at work I was taking care of kids, or attending my church's Women's retreat, or doing a training for the human trafficking ministry I'm involved in.
There were two or three nights in February that I came home, sat down on the couch around 7 PM and slept until the next morning, when I had to make the trek back to work!
The first two weeks of my job were spent training at Texas Children's in the Medical Center. I enjoyed getting to be in some new environments, but that 75 minute commute (each way!) was killer! I was so glad when March arrived and I got to begin work at my assigned location that's only a 20 minute commute from home!
Of course March also meant the opening of our hospital, so my work days have not slowed down a bit! Between completing orientation, learning new procedures, training staff, and seeing patients I've been moving ALL DAY LONG!
This week I started my new schedule of working Tuesday-Saturday so I'm looking forward to a day off tomorrow to get caught up on my to do list. Poor car has a long list of repairs and needs, and let's not even talk about how my house looks right now!!! Let's just say I won't be having anyone over until I have some big chunk of time to deep clean this place!
So, if you've been praying for me the past few weeks I greatly appreciate it! Hopefully soon I'll get used to the change and will find some time to update this little blog!
Thanks for checking in! Until my next free moment...
:)
Sarah
